Stapleton has tremendous potential to be the next up and coming neighborhood of New York City. Stapleton's community organizations who are leading its revitalization have their work cut out for them. The NYC Department of Small Business Services providing funding to the Historic Tappen Park Community Partnership (HTCP) to assist local community organizations to conduct economic development activities in the Stapleton neighborhood. HTCP will help the Van Duzer Street Civic Association and the newly formed Stapleton Village Merchants Association to create a strategic plan for growth and finding solutions to the significant challenges that plague the Stapleton neighborhood.
